The exhibition “The Culture of Indigenous Peoples of Khabarovsk Krai” is devoted to the ethnography of the Nanai, Ulchi, Negidal, Nivkh, Udege, Oroch, Even and Evenks — eight indigenous peoples living in Khabarovsk Krai.
The museum collection reflects the main aspects of traditional material and spiritual culture: fishing activities, residential and household buildings, means of transportation, clothing, everyday life, religious beliefs and rituals, folk art crafts.
The exhibition is spread across three halls of the historical building of the Grodekov Museum. It includes more than 700 ethnographic artifacts from the 19th century to the present day. These are the paraphernalia of a shaman, and various savans, items of clothing, tools, and jewelry. They are unique examples of traditional culture of the indigenous inhabitants of the Amur region.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
