The exhibition “Prokhorovka Field” is located on the territory of the museums “The Third Battlefield of Russia”, “Museum of Armored Vehicles” and “The Battle for the Weapons of the Great Victory”. They are part of the State Military Historical Museum-Reserve “Prokhorovka Field” and are situated within walking distance from each other.
This exhibition presents memorial items of the participants of the Battle of Prokhorovka and the Battle of Kursk: medals, photographs, and weapons.
Among other exhibits, the museum houses postcards and letters from the front, personal belongings of home front workers Vladimir Vladimirovich Koshelyov and Yevgeny Grigorievich Voropayev. At the exhibition, one can see both genuine guns — the ZiS-3 76-mm divisional gun and an 82-millimeter mortar — and replicas, for example, models of Il-2 and Heinkel He-111 H-11 aircraft.
The open exhibition area of armored vehicles and artillery is located at an altitude of 252.2 — in the very area where the Red Army defensive line ran in July 1943.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
