The sike wedding robe was sewn in the middle of the 20th century from white cotton fabric lined with white and blue fabric with a geometric pattern. In the cut, this kimono is open at the front, has a shoulder seam, short sleeves, a slit of 4.2 centimeters.

Master Chikue Zolongovna Kile decorated the front part with an applique in the form of criss-crossing black and blue stripes 1.8–2 centimeters wide. There is a more complex pattern on the back. On top there is an application in six rows depicting scales, which are filled from the inside with an ornament in the form of closed curls, spirals and circles — symbols of the origin of a human being.

On the bottom of the robe there are symmetrical images on both sides of the cut in the center. The family tree contains images of larvae, snakes, lizards, insects, birds, flowers, leaves, and roots in the form of two water dragons (puymurs). The craftswoman embroidered the tree on a white background with colored threads, and bordered the cut with an applique.

A zoomorphic face stands out above the cut. It was cut out of an orange fabric and sewn onto a black background. Also on a black background are side ribbons of fabric along the cut and a repeating pattern of alternating red and white colors. The edges of the cut were lined with strips of red cloth. The bottom of the robe is decorated with an orange narrow stripe, a wide stripe with an applique in the form of a spiral ribbon repeating ornament; along the edge of the hem there is a narrow red stripe.

There are stripes of orange, black, and red on the edge of the hem. The bottom of the sleeves and the neck hole were trimmed with wide black stripes with cherry edging. From the back, the sleeves were decorated with small red-black scales with a white border.

The first sikes were sewn from fish skin, most often from carp skin; later various fabrics began to be used. Masters tried to pay special attention to the sike’s ornament. The main skill consisted in the manufacture of the back, the scales on the top of which represented a kind of armor. It was supposed to cover the bride’s back: it was believed that protection came from the dragon, which, according to the Nanai people, kept people from evil.

Each of the scales is decorated with images of ducks, butterflies, eagles, fish — typical images of Nanai ornaments. The family tree was designedly depicted on the lower part of the back of the sike. On it, among the leaves and branches, choco birds were depicted — according to the Nanai people, these were the souls awaiting birth. Having moved into the body of a woman, they were embodied in her children. The clan was determined by the image of a totemic animal, which was placed at the base of the tree.
