In July and October 2011, the crew of the film ‘The Return of the Shuravi’ visited the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. It included our fellow countrymen - war veterans in Afghanistan. During the trip to Afghanistan, the crew filmed the locations of past military operations, recorded meetings and interviews with politicians, clergy and ordinary people. A commemorative plaque was put up on the Salang Pass in honour of the internationalist soldiers, who had been drafted into the army from our republic and had died in Afghanistan.
Also, material was collected for the exposition ‘Warriors-Internationalists’ in the Republican Museum of Military Glory.
