Titian Vechellio, was born near Venice, in the city of Pieve di Cadore. The exact date of Titian 's birth is not known. The artist 's father Gregorio Vechellio was a statesman and military figure.

The wavy hair of the red shade is taken back. In painting, such a hair color is known as “Titian.” To achieve this color of hair, Venetians smeared their hair with a mixture of lemon and saffron and exposed their heads to the scorching rays of the sun for long hours so that the hair would burn out.
