Agrippina Vasilyevna deserves all the credit for my first steps in
painting.
After graduation from the technical school, between 1977 and 1992, Lyubov Kizilova worked as a tray painter at the Emalposuda (Enamelware) factory. She developed her craft at the factory, progressing to become an artist of the fifth rank. In 1982, the artist began actively participating in various exhibitions and competitions, including local, regional, nationwide, and international events.
In 1988, the talented craftswoman joined the workshop’s creative team. After the Emalposuda factory was closed, Lyubov Kizilova continued to work with various cooperatives and smaller enterprises and also took up teaching. In 1996, she became a member of the Union of Russian Artists.
In her art, Lyubov Kizilova has focused on floral compositions that are characterized by harmony and thought-out color palettes. On her trays, she often paints roses and lilies — compositions that she began designing in the 1980s.
Nowadays, the works of Lyubov Kizilova are represented in the collections of the Metallurgical Ural Museum-Reserve in Nizhny Tagil, the Museums of Fine Arts in Nizhny Tagil and Yekaterinburg, the Gamayun Folk Art Museum in Yekaterinburg, and the State Historical Museum.
Lyubov Kizilova painted the tray “Impression” in 1995. The exhibit reflects the traditions of pre-revolutionary Russian art that were revived in the Nizhny Tagil tray painting. Against a deep black background, there is a variety of bright flowers framed by leaves and herbs.
Along the edges of the
base and the rim, there are two ribbons of golden brushwork ornamentation.
These elements were contributed by the pattern artist Tatyana Semyonovna
Bashkirtseva.
