The Green Beach was painted as an overdoor piece for Savva Morozov’s house on Prechistenka Street. The color combinations and delicate curves used by the artist in this landscape inevitably bring about associations with music. The muted hues work like a color chord, while the network of lines and spots resembles Claude Debussy’s musical arabesques.
