A badge ‘Glory to the Soviet paratroopers’ is a commemorative badge for servicemen of the USSR Airborne Troops.
Airborne troops have quite a diverse system of medals, orders, badges and tokens for various purposes.
Usually the first badge to be pinned onto a paratrooper’s uniform was a badge in the form of an opening blue parachute. This type of badge was given immediately after the first parachute jump, and its design varied only insignificantly depending on the number of jumps.
