The Radogoshch Museum houses exhibits connected with the past historical events and traditions of Pogar.
The exhibition “Pogar: The Last City of Magdeburg Law” is devoted to the period from the 17th to the 19th century when the town had a special economic and legal regime. The residents of Pogar were free from the power of feudal lords and elected their own body of the town government — the Magistrate.
At that time, craft guilds were formed and international trade was developed. Among the treasures of the museum, there are tools of tailors, blacksmiths, shoemakers and relics of the craft guilds, scales of Pogar merchants and the 18th century Bible.
The paintings of Pogar artists show the streets of the old town and ancient churches, which were destroyed in the mid-20th century. The museum also houses weapons of the Cossacks who guarded the city, as well as everyday items of ordinary townspeople.
Exhibits are marked with AR stickers for identification purposes.
