Daniil Markovich Andon was born on December 30, 1902 in the Moldavian village of Grushki in a poor peasant family. Until 1917, he helped his father in the household, with difficulty he managed to graduate from a parochial school. In 1924 he joined the Komsomol, in 1926 he was the first in his village to become a member of the CPSU (b).
From 1926-1938 he was in the ranks of the Red Army, graduated from the Moldovan sector of the Communist University of National Minorities of the West in Moscow. In the rank of captain of the Red Army during the years of the cult of Stalin, he was subjected to repression, served exile in Kolyma, was a digger. In 1945, he found himself in a settlement in the village of Boguchany, Krasnoyarsk Territory, where he continued to live after rehabilitation due to the lack of corpus delicti, from 1956 until the last days of his life. He worked at various jobs: as a handyman in zagotzerno, had to carry water from a Hangar on a horse, as a caretaker at school No. 1.
In Boguchany, he met the widow Agafya Egorovna Balakhnina, also repressed. From her first marriage, she had a son, Gennady, to whom Daniil Markovich became a second father. From his marriage with Agafya Egorovna there were two sons: Nikolai and Viktor. In Moldova, from his first marriage, he had two sons, one of whom, also Victor, was very proud of Daniil Markovich. He was a director at the Moldova — Film studio.
Daniil Markovich conducted extensive educational work with young people, often spoke to schoolchildren. He formed a detachment of “Red Pathfinders”, young assistant pathfinders helped to collect material on the topic “The Great Patriotic War 1941-1945” corresponded with the families of those who died during the war, its participants and veterans. They went to the places of former battles where Boguchans died, searched for their graves. In addition, Daniil Markovich collected materials on the history of the Boguchansky district and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which he was very proud of. His merits were repeatedly noted by Soviet and party bodies.
The Boguchansky Museum got its start, being located in the Boguchansky district House of Pioneers and Schoolchildren. Daniil Markovich has been asking for more than one year to build a building for a museum in the district center. In 1988, the building was built as a museum. And although Daniil Markovich for health reasons could not often visit the museum, he was aware of all the cases on the formation of expositions and texts of excursions.
No life trials have broken the will, love of life and optimism of D.M. Andon.
Education, high intelligence, love for people, the desire to make life more interesting — these are his main qualities.
Daniil Markovich Andon lived for 90 years, he passed away on January 4, 1992. He was buried at the Boguchansky cemetery.
A Moldavian by nationality, who loved Angara with his soul, he left a bright memory of himself in the hearts of many Boguchans.
